EAAIF locks in $100m debt facility to deploy into Asian infrastructure

by Kali Persall

Emerging Africa & Asia Infrastructure Fund (EAAIF), a company of The Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) managed by Ninety One, has secured a new $100 million debt facility from Export Finance Australia (EFA).

The financing will power crucial infrastructure projects, ranging from energy access to digital communications and sustainable transport, with the goal to foster new businesses, drive green growth and build robust supply chains that benefit communities across the region.

“EFA’s commitment reinforces our role as a gateway for new and diverse capital to accelerate infrastructure development across South and Southeast Asia,” stated EAAIF in a LinkedIn posting.

As one of the longest-serving blended finance debt funds for emerging markets, EAAIF is seeking to deploy more than $1 billion to infrastructure in Africa and Asia by 2028.
