DWS to acquire 147MW portfolio of Spanish solar assets from Brookfield’s X-ELIO

DWS has reached an agreement with global renewable-energy developer X-ELIO, a Brookfield-owned company specializing in the development, construction, financing and operation of renewable-energy projects, to acquire three solar PV plants in Spain.

The three projects, which are located in the municipality of Medina de las Torres, Badajoz, and have a total capacity of 147 megawatts, began operations in mid-2023. The three plants will generate an average estimated supply of renewable energy to the equivalent of 91,800 households per year.

The investments were made on behalf of DWS’s European infrastructure investment strategy, which allows German retail and institutional investors to invest directly into infrastructure projects.
