Downing Renewables & Infrastructure Trust acquires 130MW portfolio of solar PV assets

Downing Renewables & Infrastructure Trust (DORE) has acquired a 130-megawatt portfolio of operational solar photovoltaic (PV) assets in the United Kingdom for a cash consideration of £12.6 million ($16 million).

The portfolio consists of two ground-mounted sites and approximately 1,600 commercial and residential installations that benefit from high levels of feed-in tariffs and renewable obligation certificate subsidies. The new portfolio will increase the total number of DORE’s managed solar assets to 4,800, with a total annual average production of 101 gigawatt hours.

Following this acquisition, DORE said it has deployed substantially all of its remaining cash and plans to draw on its £40 million ($50 million) revolving credit facility for future acquisitions.
