Paris-based Amundi Asset Management has appointed deputy CEO Dominique Carrel-Billiard, to assume the operational management of the real and alternative assets business line.
The business encompasses real estate, private debt, private equity and infrastructure.
Carrel-Billiard will take over for Pedro Antonio Arias, who has decided to leave the group for an entrepreneurial project.
With a strong pace of development over the last five years, this business line has reached €55 billion ($65 billion) in assets under management, according to Amundi.
Prior to joining Amundi in 2016, Carrel-Billiard served as managing director of La Financière de l’Echiquier, and he was a managing director at AXA Investment Managers Group before that.
Previously, Carrel-Billiard served a 12-year stint at McKinsey & Company, where he was associate director, specializing in financial institutions.
