Digital Colony, the digital infrastructure investment platform of Colony Capital, has acquired Beanfield Technologies, an independent bandwidth infrastructure provider in Canada, for an undisclosed amount.
The company’s portfolio is comprised of 366 route kilometers (227 miles) of pervasive and dense metro fiber infrastructure in Toronto and Montreal and more than 76,000 strand kilometers (47,224 miles) of fiber infrastructure, serving the enterprise, carrier and multi-dwelling units (MDU) markets. According to Digital Colony, together, they represent an average of 208 strands per route kilometer (129 route mile).
The company also has 541 on-net locations, including 367 commercial locations, 161 MDUs and 13 data centers.
