Development project launched at U.K.’s Port of Grimsby

Associated British Ports (ABP), the U.K.’s biggest ports group, has launched an 89-acre development site at the Port of Grimsby.

The Port of Grimsby is located seven miles from the open sea, on the south bank of the Humber Estuary and within easy reach of the U.K.’s industrial heartland. Grimsby is the largest operations and maintenance facility for the United Kingdom’s wind-power sector and provides natural landfall opportunities for offshore wind cables, making it ideal for supporting hydrogen production.

The Future Park Grimsby site is capable of accommodating 1.164 million square feet of development in units from 7,500 square feet to 210,000 square feet. The park has its own power-station facility, in addition to access to water mains, grid power, renewable power and waste-water disposal.
