Developer moves forward with 20-acre solar garden in Maine

by Kali Persall

New England solar developer SunRaise Investments has wrapped up the initial construction phase of its 4.9-megawatt solar garden and is now accepting applications for subscribers to participate in the solar garden.

The 20-acre system will provide low-cost solar energy to residents and businesses in the Central Maine Power territory. The system is estimated to produce 10.5 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually. The solar garden is currently awaiting the installation of solar panels.

“COVID has hit our economy hard in Maine, and financial savings are more important now than ever,” said Patrick Jackson, vice president of business development at SunRaise Investments. “Solar can be an important part of our economic recovery, while advancing our clean energy future.”
