International investment bank DC Advisory has advised abrdn, a global investment company and asset manager, on the refinancing of its portfolio company, Oikos Storage, a significant storage terminal on Canvey Island in England.
Oikos is an independently owned specialist operator of bulk liquid storage facilities that has been in operation since 1936. The operator Oikos has 300,000 cubic meters (392,385 cubic yards) of storage capacity across 36 modern, state-of-the-art tanks that are configured to store jet, diesel, HVO, ethanol, biomethanol and FAME, which is produced from vegetable oils, animal fats or waste cooking oils by transesterification.
Oikos is on Canvey Island, a prime location on the Thames Estuary providing deepwater jetties and strategic access to serve Southeast England, including major international airports, via connections to major U.K. pipelines and road export.
