CVC DIF to acquire large-scale hybrid solar PV and battery storage project in Chile

CVC DIF, the dedicated infrastructure investment strategy of global private markets manager CVC, has agreed to acquire a utility-scale hybrid solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) project from Grenergy, a Spanish multinational clean energy producer.

Located in Northern Chile, the Gabriela project consists of 272 megawatts of installed solar capacity and 1,100 megawatt-hours of battery storage. The project is currently under construction and is backed by a signed 15-year USD-denominated, inflation-indexed hybrid power purchase agreement. CVC DIF noted the asset also will benefit from Chile’s supportive regulatory framework for storage investments.
