CVC DIF completes acquisition of solar-plus-storage project in Chile

CVC DIF, the infrastructure business of global private markets manager CVC, has acquired the Gabriela project, a utility-scale hybrid solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) project in northern Chile, from Grenergy, a Spanish multinational clean-energy producer.

The transaction, first announced in September 2025, was structured to reach completion after the project reached its commercial operation date. As the solar-plus-storage facility has achieved this milestone, Gabriela joins CVC DIF’s global portfolio.

The completed project comprises 272 megawatts of installed solar capacity and 1,100 megawatt-hours of battery storage, and is backed by a signed 15-year, USD-denominated, inflation-indexed hybrid power purchase agreement. It also benefits from Chile’s supportive regulatory framework for storage investments.
