CVC brings on former Macquarie director as head of infrastructure

CVC has appointed former Macquarie director Jiri Zrust as partner and head of infrastructure in an effort to bolster the firm’s strategic opportunities strategy.

Zrust joins the firm from Macquarie Group's infrastructure funds business in London, where he was most recently a senior managing director and head of energy transition. He also led country coverage and origination across infrastructure and real assets in Europe. Prior to his 10-year stint at Macquarie, Zrust spent 17 years in the transport and logistics sector.

His new role will take effect in March 2022.

CVC's strategic opportunities platform invests in high-quality, stable businesses with longer investment horizons. The strategy focuses on corporate private equity investments with a lower risk profile and often partners with founding families or foundations looking for a long-term partner.
