Cubico adds 1.6GW of capacity to development pipeline in Mexico

Cubico Sustainable Investments has strengthened its presence and development portfolio in Mexico with the acquisition of Renantis Mexico and a strategic agreement with Sowitec Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisitions comprise at least 12 solar and hybrid projects across seven states and in various stages of development, adding more than 1.6 gigawatts of capacity to Cubico’s development pipeline in Mexico. This brings the total size of the business’ Mexican portfolio to 2.2 gigawatts, with Cubico’s three operational projects, Mezquite and Solem 1 and 2.
