Cube Infrastructure takes ownership stake in French municipal waste firm

Cube Infrastructure Managers has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Sepur. Sepur’s founder, Hervé Matuszewski, will remain a minority shareholder following the transaction.

Sepur is the largest pure-play municipal waste collection player in France, serving 220 municipalities with more than 30 agencies, 1,700 vehicles and 3,200 full-time employees. The company’s revenues are predominantly derived from a diversified portfolio of more than 200 medium- to long-term contracts with local authorities.

Cube said it intends to support the growth of the business and its further geographic expansion in the French market, which is driven by numerous sustainable growth drivers, such as a growing focus on commercial and industrial waste management, regulatory trends toward increasing waste sorting and separate collection (including biowaste), and increased investments in environmentally friendly fleets.
