Cube Infrastructure Managers, Equitix acquire majority stake in RiverRidge

Cube Infrastructure Managers and Equitix Investment Management have jointly acquired a majority stake in RiverRidge, a waste management and energy recovery organization in Northern Ireland.

As a result, BGF, one of the largest and most experienced growth capital investors in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which held a minority stake in RiverRidge, has exited the business.

RiverRidge operates essential infrastructure that provides services to Northern Irish communities, such as the treatment and disposal of residual waste, serving seven out of 11 local authorities and more than 5,500 commercial clients. RiverRidge is also active in the energy-from-waste (EfW) space, with a minority stake in Northern Ireland’s only operating plant. In 2022, the company treated more than 400,000 tonnes of commingled waste.
