Jonathon Kaufman, managing director at Credit Suisse Group, has been appointed to lead the firm’s new global infrastructure, utility and renewables group, according to Bloomberg.
Based in New York, Kaufman will work closely with sector-focused bankers focused on the midstream, transportation services, and media and telecommunications sectors. Managing directors Michael Comisarow, in Toronto and Luke Gorton in London will remain as critical members of the infrastructure team, global head of credit David Miller and Malcolm Price, a managing director, said in a memo to staff Jan. 8.
“Infrastructure was the fastest-growing asset class in 2019, raising over $90 billion, and continues to be of strategic importance,” noted Miller and Price.
The bank’s infrastructure funds have more than $200 billion to invest, according to the memo.
