Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners closes Growth Markets Fund II at $3b

by Kali Arevalo

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has closed its Growth Markets Fund II (GMF II) at approximately $3 billion, tripling the size of its first vintage.

GMF II focuses on large-scale energy infrastructure investments across 15 high-growth, middle-income markets in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. The fund already has committed $1.6 billion across nine investments and is delivering strong momentum across the portfolio, according to CIP.

“With GMF II, we are building on our track record and expanding our ability to connect capital with high-quality renewable-energy projects in select growth markets that have a fundamental need for new and reliable energy infrastructure,” said Ole Kjems Sørensen, partner and co-head of growth markets funds at CIP.
