ContourGlobal and Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) have reached an agreement with a group of private shareholders to pay €49.7 million ($60 million) to acquire Green Hunter Group, an 18-megawatt portfolio of solar photovoltaic assets in Italy.
ContourGlobal said the transaction was another operationally led bolt-on acquisition as part of the company’s roll-up strategy in Italy with long-time partner EIP.
“We continue to see a strong pipeline of further opportunities in Italy,” stated ContourGlobal.
The proposed acquisition of Green Hunter Group is expected to close in third quarter 2021, subject to the completion of certain customary closing conditions.
ContourGlobal, an international owner and operator of contracted wholesale power generation businesses, is listed on the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange. It owns and operates 6,306 megawatts via 117 power plants, in 20 countries and four continents.
