Consortium selected for airports P3 in the Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) board of governors has chosen the VIports Partners consortium to redevelop the terminals at both Cyril E. King Airport (STT) and Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) through a public-private partnership (P3) arrangement.

VIports Partners will redevelop both terminals with modern airport amenities, including the addition of passenger boarding bridges. VIports Partners also will enter into a transition agreement with the port authority to operate and maintain the terminals and both airports. The P3 partner will also finance the costs of redeveloping both terminals.

The VIports Partners consortium is composed of:

Aecon Group as terminal developer Aecon/Tikehau Star Infra as equity providers AvPorts as airport operator Corgan Associates as terminal architects Aecon/joint venture of Consigli Construction and J. Benton Construction as contractors Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe/Du
