A consortium consisting of Global Logistic Properties (GLP), Comércio Bandeirantes, TCL, Senpar and TORC has been selected as the preferred bidder for a $412.91 million Brazilian highway project; the first highway auction in the state, according to InfraPPP.
The Way-306 Consortium will develop, upgrade, finance, operate and maintain a stretch of the 220-kilometer (136-mile) MS-306 highway in the Brasilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, over a period of 30 years.
The infrastructure improvements are expected to reduce the number of accidents and travel time and save almost $1 million in highway maintenance costs.
Way-306 bested the Via Brasil MS-306 consortium in the competitive bidding process, surpassing its offer of $24 million with the winning $146 million bid.
