During the July meeting of Connecticut’s Investment Advisory Council (IAC), potential investments in two infrastructure programs were reviewed for consideration.
The Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds (CRPTF) is considering investments in HarbourVest Infrastructure Income Partnership (HIIP), managed by HarbourVest Partners, and Palistar Digital Infrastructure Fund III (Palistar III), managed by Palistar Capital.
The total recommended commitment to HIIP is for up to $300 million, of which up to $200 million is targeted in 2025. HIIP is focused on the ownership of high-quality, stable asset-heavy infrastructure platforms accessed through minority positions with high-quality partners through off-market means, according to a fund summary from the office of the state treasurer. The core, open-end fund is focused primarily on the power, utilities, transport and communications sectors and had a $801.3 million net asset value as of first quarter 2025.
