Commerz Real’s Klimavest fund acquires 47MWp solar park project in France

Commerz Real has acquired a ready-to-build solar park in eastern France for its Klimavest fund. The seller is renewable-energy company BayWa r.e., which is developing the solar park and also will be responsible for its subsequent technical and commercial management.

The Amance photovoltaic power plant is located in the Aube department, close to the city of Troyes. It will cover an area of 42 hectares (104 acres) and have a capacity of 47 megawatts-peak. Construction has already commenced, with completion and commissioning scheduled for September. Once in operation the solar park is set to meet the average energy consumption of about 11,000 French households.
