Commerz Real’s Klimavest commissions solar park in France

Commerz Real, via its Klimavest fund, has commissioned the 47-megawatt-peak Amance solar park in eastern France. The facility, which covers 42 hectares (104 acres), will have the potential to meet the average energy consumption of about 11,000 French households.

Commerz Real confirmed construction of the photovoltaic (PV) power plant near the city of Troyes in the Aube department was completed on schedule in September, and the solar park is now feeding solar-generated electricity into the French grid.

Klimavest acquired the ready-to-build PV park in March from the renewable-energy company BayWa r.e., which developed the solar park and also will be responsible for its subsequent technical and commercial management. BayWa r.e. will conduct extensive test runs in the coming weeks to ensure optimal coordination of all components and to maximize the electricity yiel
