Commerz Real has purchased a new wind farm in Finland, expanding the European portfolio for its Klimavest impact fund. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Located in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa region in western Finland, in the municipality of Kalajoki, the asset is the third wind-power investment by Commerz Real in the Gulf of Bothnia. The wind farm encompasses a total of seven individual turbines and has been connected to the main grid since 2022.
The asset has an installed capacity of 39.9 megawatts and is being sold as a turnkey plant by the company Energiequelle. Commerz Real said this is the second successful transaction with the international project developer, which has a track record with a project volume of more than 1,500 megawatts.
