The Colorado Department of Transportation is planning to launch tenders on more than $600 million in projects by February 2020, according to Transportation Today.
A number of the projects are part of a safety initiative to improve safety conditions, reduce accidents, and improve traffic flow. These include upgrades to traffic signals, adding cable rail and rumble strips to highways, and upgrading intersections.
Around 40 percent of the project are said to be planned for rural areas. A comprehensive list will be announced later in the year.
