Clean Energy Future Lordstown deal closes with ArcLight as new owner

A proposed deal has reached completion that would see a change in ownership of Clean Energy Future Lordstown, which owns and operates a 940-megawatt, combined-cycle, gas-fired power facility in Warren, Ohio.

Clean Energy Future Lordstown is one of the newest and most efficient natural-gas, combined-cycle power plants in the United States. In February, an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners agreed to purchase 100 percent of the equity ownership interests in the power plant from Macquarie Infrastructure Partners III (MIP III), an unlisted infrastructure fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management.

On Aug. 23, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorized the proposed transaction, according to a notice of consummation dated Sept. 6, resulting in a change in the upstream ownership of the power plant.
