Civitas Group rebrands, plans €500m European fund

The Civitas Group has consolidated its investment management activities under the new name of Civitas Investment Management (CIM), an impact investor specializing in government-backed real assets.

CIM announced on June 18 that it has expanded client mandates with £2 billion ($2.5 billion) in combined assets under management.

CIM has established a significant presence for care-based housing and healthcare in the United Kingdom, and will now look to further expand into community based infrastructure. The investor is planning to launch in the European Union during the next 12 months.

The investor is planning to raise up to €500 million ($562 million) for a new fund targeting care properties in Europe, according to several news sources.

According to Radius Data Exchange, it has identified Scandinavia and Germany as “likely launch points” for initial investment.
