CIP, BVK joint venture launches Eagle Ford project in Texas

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Energy Transition Fund I, has announced the operation of BKV Corp.’s Eagle Ford carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) facility in Texas.

The collaboration combines BKV’s early leadership in CCS development with CIP’s expertise in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure. Eagle Ford is the newest operational CCS facility under the strategic joint venture between the two companies.

The Eagle Ford facility will sequester approximately 90,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. Barnett Zero, the first operational facility in the joint venture, had sequestered roughly 350,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide as of first quarter 2026.
