CIMIC Group company, CPB Contractors, has achieved contractual close on Victoria’s multi-billion dollar West Gate Tunnel. CPB Contractors was selected by Transurban and the State Government of Victoria as the preferred contractor for the project in April 2017, in a 50/50 joint venture with John Holland.
The design and construct contract will generate revenue to CPB Contractors of approximately $2.49 billion. Major construction work is expected to start in early 2018 with the project scheduled to open to traffic in 2022.
