Chaparral Energy Inc., a privately held oil and natural-gas exploration and production company headquartered in Oklahoma City, has undergone a corporate rebranding to Canvas Energy Inc.
“While we have a long history as a trusted operator in Oklahoma, we have made tremendous progress over the last several years in completely transforming our business,” said Chuck Duginski, CEO of Canvas Energy. “We have clearly articulated our ESG principles and have become leaders in EH&S performance. Our strategy is now centered on sustainable free cash flow generation through efficient low-cost field operations, supported by prudent reinvestment in high-return development drilling and accretive acquisitions.”
Duginski said the company is able to self-fund its strategy out of operating cash flow.
