The Clean Energy Finance Corp. (CEFC) has become a cornerstone investor in the A$700 million-plus ($848 million) Adamantem Capital Fund II, which will focus on driving ambitious emissions reduction targets across a diverse range of private equity-owned, mid-market companies.
Adamantem Capital Fund II is the first Australian private equity fund to adopt a “cradle-to-grave” approach to the emissions impact of its assets, according to the CEFC.
The $80 million investment in Adamantem Capital Fund II represents the CEFC’s first investment in private equity. The CEFC is investing on behalf of the Australian government, alongside Aware Super, which also committed $80 million as a cornerstone investor.
