Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure (CC&L Infrastructure) and partner Alpenglow Rail have acquired USA Rail, a short-line rail logistics business that provides first- and last-mile transportation and storage solutions to a blue chip customer base in the Gulf Coast region of the United States.
USA Rail's two rail terminals, Port Allen and Port Arthur, provide a broad range of rail services such as railcar storage, switching, transloading and railcar cleaning solutions, according to a statement by the companies. They also noted the terminals operate in highly attractive industrial markets and are located close to large-scale customers.
The business benefits from long-term take-or-pay contracts with several key customers that support a strong and stable revenue base.
