Canada and Infrastructure Asia have renewed a memorandum of understanding that enables Canadian businesses to expand their infrastructure offerings in Southeast Asian markets.
Carribean News Global reports the MoU will create new opportunities for Canadian businesses working in fields such as airports, railways and water treatment plants, as well as smart cities, to grow and expand their businesses.
“By strengthening our economic relationship with Singapore and other ASEAN members, we will help support Canadian businesses, workers and our entire economy on the road to recovery from COVID-19,” said Mary Ng, Canada’s minister of small business, export promotion and international trade.
The first MoU between Canada and InfraAsia was signed in 2018.
