Just Climate, a specialist investment business focused on scaling solutions for the highest-emitting lagging sectors of the economy, has received $175 million from the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) and Microsoft to accelerate investment in natural climate solutions.
CalSTRS was Just Climate’s anchor institutional investor, and Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund was its corporate anchor. Through its investments, the strategy aims to help transform land use to achieve global net-zero and nature positive goals.
