California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking to hire an associate investment manager, infrastructure. The role will be responsible for sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities, managing the existing portfolio, and conducting research and strategic planning.
CalPERS is one of the world’s largest investors in the private infrastructure market, investing in companies operating in a diverse array of sectors such as telecommunications, power and energy, and transportation, among others. This individual will play an important role in helping manage and grow the portfolio.
CalPERS is a global institutional investor and the nation’s largest public pension fund, with approximately $547.21 billion of assets as of June 13. The pension fund’s real assets portfolio, which includes infrastructure, was valued at $71.7 billion as of May 31.
