Çalık Renewables acquires 255MW of solar PV assets in Poland

Çalık Renewables, a Turkish energy investor and subsidiary of Çalık Holding, has acquired a portfolio of solar photovoltaic (PV) assets from PAD RES Group, a Polish renewable-energy developer and investor.

The Sztum and Stargard projects are located in the Pomeranian and West Pomeranian regions, with solar farms generating enough electricity to power more than 90,000 households.

With an installed capacity of 255 megawatts, this acquisition bumps Çalık’s installed renewable capacity to more than 400 megawatts. This transaction marks the first of Çalık’s investments in Poland and is part of the firm’s renewables European growth strategy.
