The previously-announced purchase of short line railroad company Genesee & Wyoming (G&W) by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners and GIC has closed, G&W confirmed in a Dec. 30 statement.
The deal, initially disclosed in July, was valued at $8.4 billion.
According to G&W, under the terms of the sale, each issued and outstanding share of the company’s common stock converted into the right to receive $112 in cash.
