The John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 8 has plans for a $344 million expansion deal. It is part of a $13 billion redevelopment of the JFK airport, New York’s main international gateway.
British Airways will be the new occupier of Terminal 8, making the move from Terminal 7. The $344 million will be spent over the next three to four years for renovations, and the airline will move into the new terminal in 2022. Changes to Terminal 8 will include additional stands, new lounges and baggage systems, premium check-in areas and upgraded concessions.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the operator of JFK, will be a key investor in the project, along with American Airlines.
