Blue Elephant Energy acquires German wind farm

Blue Elephant Energy AG (BEE) has acquired a German wind farm in Rhineland-Palatinate for an undisclosed amount.

The wind farm has a total capacity of 9.23 megawatts consisting of 3-wind turbines type Vestas V112 – 3.0 megawatts. The wind farm went into operation in 2014.

With the acquisition of the wind farm, BEE is expanding its wind and solar park portfolio to more than 60 megawatts in Germany and more than 252 megawatts worldwide.

Blue Elephant Energy AG acquires and operates solar and wind parks as well as other infrastructure projects in the field of renewable energies. BEE currently operates more than 250 megawatts in its solar and wind park portfolio. The firm relies on long-standing partners, especially project developers. Through the provision of equity and equity-related funds by the shareholders and the Gothaer Insurance Group, BEE has more than €300 million ($366 million) available for the expansion of the business.
