Blackstone buys minority stake in Denmark’s Eurowind Energy

A minority stake in Eurowind Energy, a Danish company that develops, constructs and operates renewable-energy parks, has been sold to Blackstone Infrastructure.

After receiving the required regulatory approvals, Blackstone Infrastructure now holds a 24.7 percent stake in Eurowind Energy and has committed up to DKK 15 billion ($2.3 billion) to accelerate the company’s growth across Europe.

Blackstone’s joining as a long-term partner will give Eurowind Energy additional financial capacity to substantially increase the pace of its work. Specifically, Eurowind Energy said the investment will support its goal to become a leading pan-European independent power producer. The company is expecting to deliver on average 1.5 gigawatts of new wind, solar and battery capacity annually through 2030.“We look forward to accelerating our work with Blackstone alongside us and expect to construct approximately four to five times as much new capacity every year compared with 2025,â€
