BlackRock participates in Velfra refinancing

Velfra, a Norwegian social infrastructure owner backed by long-term Nordic and global infrastructure funds from Infranode and DIF Capital Partners, respectively, has refinanced its debt facilities.

Velfra owns a portfolio of 52 assets used in providing health and educational services in Norway, including rehabilitation, assisted living and habilitation, preschools and schools. Velfra said the properties, which are predominantly located in Norway’s growing Greater Oslo region, are diversified by operators and market segments, and are underpinned by strong structural and demographic trends.

BlackRock Real Assets acted as the sole lender in the financing of the new debt facility, bringing BlackRock Infrastructure Debt’s total investment commitments to more than $1 billion in the Nordic region.
