British International Investment (BII), the United Kingdom’s development finance institution and impact investor, recently signed an agreement with Africa50 to bolster their partnership and mobilize greater investment into Africa’s infrastructure.
Africa50 is a specialist investor in African infrastructure, developing, de-risking and delivering projects to unlock economic growth across the continent.
Announced during the Infra for Africa Forum 2026 held in Tanzania in early August, the partnership reflects both organizations’ shared ambition to help address Africa’s infrastructure financing gap by mobilizing more public and private capital into projects that support economic growth, create jobs and improve lives.
