BayWa r.e. secures 8 solar, onshore-wind contracts in latest U.K. CfD allocation round

BayWa r.e. has secured eight Contracts for Difference (CfD) for eight renewable-energy projects in the fourth and most recent round of the U.K. government’s flagship auction scheme.

The projects are located in England and Scotland, totaling more than 330 megawatts — 236 megawatts in solar and 98 megawatts in onshore wind.

BayWa r.e said these projects represent an important contribution to securing the reliable, long-term supply of domestically generated, renewable energy. They also will support the U.K. government’s goal of meeting its net-zero emission commitment by 2050, and the net-zero emission electricity system target by 2035.
