Barings has closed its inaugural Target Yield Infrastructure Debt Fund and associated vehicles at $630 million, surpassing the high-end target of $500 million.
The strategy garnered interest from a global investor base, including a mixture of public and private pension funds, and insurance companies. It will focus on OECD countries, primarily in North America and Europe, in line with Barings' existing infrastructure strategies.
The fund will invest in below investment-grade debt assets across social and regulated infrastructure, renewables, transportation and digital infrastructure.
