Axium Infrastructure and Guggenheim Investments have announced plans to sell their respective equity interests in Middletown Energy Center to affiliates of ArcLight Capital Partners.
Earlier in July, ArcLight Capital Partner confirmed it will acquire 100 percent of the economic interests in Middletown through a series of transactions from a consortium of sellers, but specific firms were not disclosed.
Middletown is a top-quartile, natural gas–fired power-generation asset located in Butler County, Ohio. The plant, which commenced operations in 2018, is one of the newest natural gas–combined cycle power plants in the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland Interconnection (PJM), providing reliable, dispatchable power to the PJM market — the largest wholesale electricity market in the United States.
