Aviva Investors, the second-largest nonbank provider of infrastructure debt financing in Europe, will provide financing to Diamond Transmission Partners, a joint venture consisting of Diamond Transmission U.K. and HICL Infrastructure, for the acquisition of offshore transmission assets at Hornsea Two offshore wind farm.
Hornsea Two is located 90 kilometers (56 miles) off the Yorkshire coast and will be adjacent to Hornsea One offshore wind farm. With a total installed capacity of 1.3 gigawatts, Hornsea Two is known as the world’s-largest wind farm, and it provides power to more than 1.4 million homes, according to Ørsted, the project’s developer. The wind farm became fully operational in August 2022.
