ATP promotes Martin Præstegaard to CEO

by Kali Persall

ATP Group, Denmark’s largest pension fund, has promoted its vice CEO and CFO Martin Præstegaard to CEO, effective July 1.

He will take over for Bo Foged, who announced his resignation in February after more than seven years as CEO. After leaving ATP, he will take up a position as partner with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.

Præstegaard joined ATP in 2019 from The Danish Ministry of Finance, where he served as permanent secretary since 2014. Præstegaard also held several positions at DR (Danish Broadcasting Corp.) from 2010 to 2014.

“It is with great satisfaction that the board can announce that Martin Præstegaard has accepted the job as CEO of ATP,” said Torben Andersen, chairman of ATP. “Since he joined ATP three years ago, I have had an enriching and well-functioning collaboration with Martin, and I look forward to even closer collaboration in light of his new role.”
