Infrastructure fund Atlantis has agreed to buy out the Green Highland Renewables (GHR) business from SIMEC Energy for a nominal cash sum of £1.00 ($1.30).
Atlantis will assume the long-term asset management, operations and maintenance contracts for GHR’s hydro assets, located throughout the United Kingdom.
According to Atlantis, GHR has consented more than 65 hydro schemes, built more than 45 hydro schemes and provides operation and maintenance services for more than 45 hydro schemes throughout the region.
The GHR senior management team will be integrated into the Atlantis senior management team, effective immediately, and will continue to develop greenfield and brownfield hydro opportunities domestically and abroad for Atlantis.
