by Zoë Wolff

The $14.3 billion Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has committed $50 million to Global Infrastructure Partners III, according to George Hopkins, executive director for the pension fund.

The fund, sponsored by Global Infrastructure Partners, will invest in large-scale infrastructure assets globally and is seeking to raise up to $15 billion. The fund recently received commitments from the Washington State Investment Board and the El Paso Firemen & Policemen Pension Fund.

This is the first time the pension fund has invested in a Global Infrastructure Partners fund.
