Ares Management Corp. has launched its Ares Climate Infrastructure Partners II fund, according to an SEC Form D filed on June 28. Ares declined to comment on its fundraising activity.
A fundraising target was not disclosed in the filing; however, the inaugural fund in the series, Ares Climate Infrastructure Partners Fund (ACIP), closed in December 2021 with $2.2 billion of dedicated climate infrastructure capital. ACIP attracted a broad, diverse group of investors from North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and the investor base included pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and funds of funds.
