Ardian has agreed to sell ASR Wind, a portfolio of 12 wind farms with a total installed capacity of 422 megawatts, to Spanish renewable-energy group Naturgy for an undisclosed amount.
Located in different regions across Spain, the wind farms were commissioned between 2005 and 2012.
Ardian acquired 95 percent of the ASR Wind portfolio in 2019, representing the first investment of the Ardian Infrastructure Fund V. Ardian has used the ASR Wind platform to manage 1 gigawatt of other renewable-energy projects in Spain and Italy, which were excluded from this transaction.
Exus Management Partners holds the remaining percentage in ASR Wind and will also exit the company’s ownership following the transaction.
